Eligibility Open to students registered full-time in a graduate program.

Candidates must be citizens of Papua New Guinea or Afghanistan or members of Canada’s First Nations, Inuit or Métis people.

In addition to the research proposal or statement of study, applicants must complete an additional statement of approximately 400 words (Appendix A of the Graduate Award application) demonstrating that they meet this eligibility criterion.

Should no eligible candidates be found within the Faculty of Graduate Studies, this award may be offered to an undergraduate student.
