Alastair H Ross Memorial Graduate Scholarship
Alastair Henry Ross was a well-respected businessman and a pillar of the Calgary community. He served as director of more than fourteen corporations, including the Calgary Airport Authority, and was campaign chairman and director of the United Way of Calgary. He served on several national councils including the Economic Council of Canada and the National Science and Engineering Research Council. Mr. Ross was the founder and first chairman of the Calgary Research and Development Authority (now known as Calgary Technologies Inc.) The Alastair Ross Technology Centre, located in the University of Calgary Research Park, was named in his honour in 2000. Mr. Ross earned a B.Sc from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the Harvard School of Business.
