Field of Study Unrestricted

Eligibility Open to students registered full-time in a graduate program eligible for a tri-agency scholarship in the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

To be considered for an AGES Research scholarship, candidates must have applied to a tri-agency competition, through the University of Calgary, the previous fall.

Students who are eligible to apply for a CGS-Doctoral scholarship through the upcoming tri-agency doctoral competition will be considered for a $15,000 AGES Research scholarship. If successful, students must apply to the upcoming tri-agency doctoral competition to receive the AGES Research scholarship.

Students who are not awarded a tri-agency scholarship and are not eligible to hold a CGS-Doctoral scholarship through upcoming tri-agency doctoral competition may be considered for a $11,000 AGES Research scholarship. If students still meet the eligibility requirements to apply for a tri-agency scholarship (e.g., SSHRC Fellowship) the expectation is that they will apply.

Students can hold only one AGES in a given award year.
