Alberta Association of Architects – Cecil Scott Burgess Graduate Scholarship
The Alberta Association of Architects is responsible for the registration and governance of architects in the province of Alberta and for promotion of the profession. This award was established in 1977 to recognize Cecil Scott Burgess, a pupil of George Washington Browne, R.S.A., Architect, Edinburgh. Dr. Burgess was Professor of Architecture and Resident Architect at the University of Alberta from 1913 until 1940.

Eligibility Open to students registered full-time in the final year of the Master of Architecture program in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape.

Candidates must submit a portfolio of a minimum of 20 architectural drawings showcasing their intellectual abilities and skill in their field of study including clear, lucid, and creative delineation techniques.

Apply Students must submit a SAPL Application for Awards. Students interested in the award should consult the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Graduate Scholarship Office. The recommendation is subject to final approval of the Graduate Scholarship Committee.
