Indigenous and Black Momentum Scholarship in Science |
The University of Calgary recognizes that diverse students, faculty, staff and alumni benefit and enrich the work, teaching, learning and research experiences of the entire campus and broader community. We are committed to creating equitable pathways to the university by creating opportunities as well as removing barriers that have been, and continue to be, encountered by equity-deserving groups, including women, Indigenous peoples, visible/racialized minorities, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2+.
The Indigenous and Black Momentum Scholarship is intended to support Indigenous (First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples of Canada) and Black (e.g.African/Caribbean descent) students in achieving their rightful place and respected inclusion in the pursuit of graduate studies at the University Calgary. This scholarship will allow the recipients to undertake traditional and/or non-traditional areas of research in the field of science. |
