Eligibility |
Open to students registered full-time in the first year of a doctoral degree program in the Cumming School of Medicine. Students must be registered in their first year or in the first semester of their second year at time of the award start date.
Applicants must complete a statement of eligibility (approximately 300 words) describing how they meet the eligibility criteria.

Students funded through the Achievers in Medical Science Doctoral Scholarship (AIMS) are required to apply for all provincial, national or international scholarships for which they are eligible. Students who win external awards will have their AIMS adjusted as follows:
• Students winning one or more external awards totaling $5,000 or less will hold the full AIMS • Students winning one or more external awards totaling $5,001 or higher will have the AIMS adjusted for a combined total of $35,000 • Students winning one or more external awards totaling $30,000 or higher will receive a $5,000 AIMS top-up |
