Eligibility Open to students registered full-time in a thesis-based graduate program.

Candidates must be citizens of Papua New Guinea or Afghanistan or members of Canada’s First Nations, Inuit or Métis people.

Applicants must complete a non-intrusive, non-trauma statement (approximately 100 words) outlining their eligibility. (This statement will not impact ranking in the competition.)

Should no eligible candidates be found within the Faculty of Graduate Studies, this award may be offered to an undergraduate student.
